Theatre, in these days of film, television, and mass popular culture, must look to its strengths in order to survive. What distinguishes theatre from other media is the act of communication between the person on stage and the person in the audience. The live actor is someone who we can't ignore, from whom we cannot hide, and whose tangible humanity demands an empathy far beyond that we experience in the cinema or in the sitting room.

Full Frontal Theatre is looking for plays which exploit the act of communication, which demand a live audience, and celebrate the temporary nature of theatre.

We are looking for plays which are unforgiving in their critique of the modern world and which speak to our contemporary audience with power and imagination. As the world changes with ever-increasing speed, it is our duty to respond with works which explore the horror, beauty, comedy, and tragedy of existence.

We are not frightened by work which is considered political. We are not frightened by work which is considered controversial. We are not frightened by work which is considered marginal.
