Full
Frontal
by Michael Hastings
In November 2001, Full Frontal Theatre staged Michael Hastings' reworking of his startling play,
Full Frontal. Following popular and critical acclaim, Full Frontal Theatre is planning a national tour of the production in Autumn
2002.
"This
controversial and captivating play takes racism by the balls and
shoves it into the spotlight"
The Voice
Gabriel wants to join
the British National Party. The only problem is he's black!
"nobody sent
me round from the Commission of Racial Equality as a practical
joke"
A black comedy with
a sting in the tail, FULL FRONTAL examines questions of race and
racism in Britain in a disarmingly funny and dangerously direct
way. In a reworking which takes account of recent riots in Oldham
and Leeds, this production of FULL FRONTAL draws a parallel between
the racial tensions of the 1970s and those of 2002.
"what I want
is to join them. Then they can't say I'm not on their side"
