FULL FRONTAL stars Tunde Euba, known to Nigerian audiences as Akpan in CHECKMATE, a popular Nigerian soap opera for which he won a Hubert Ogunde Foundation Award for Best Actor.

Tunde's theatre credits include the title role in 5th Column's production of EQUIANO, Tiata Fahodzi's MAKINDE, London Bubble's LORDS AND LADIES, The No.1 tour of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, TICKETS AND TIES at the Theatre Royal Stratford East and Crooks in OF MICE AND MEN at Southwark Playhouse.

Tunde has also worked extensively in Nigeria, performing regularly with the PEC Repertory theatre in Lagos, in a variety of plays including WOZA ALBERT! SIZWE BANZI IS DEAD. and DUTCHMAN.

 

FULL FRONTAL is written by Michael Hastings who has himself revised the play twenty years after its first production.

Michael Hastings first two novels, THE GAME, and, THE FRAUDS, were about British-Caribbean and African mixed-race lives in Brixton. The novels were published in the mid 1950s. A new book of plays was published in 1980, which included GLOO JOO, FULL FRONTAL, and FOR THE WEST(UGANDA). These plays have been shown in East Africa, the States, and Jamaica. In 1987, Hastings adapted THE EMPEROR by Kapuscinski for the stage, and he has in motion a trilogy of plays about Marcus Garvey. Michael Hastings lives in Brixton.

 

FULL FRONTAL is directed by Ben Evans, founder and Artistic Director of Full Frontal Theatre. He has directed in Moscow, Madrid and London whilst studying for an MFA in Theatre Directing. He co-founded the physical theatre / dance company, Boundless, and has recently assisted the director Clive Barker, and the Parisian choreographer, Elsa Wolliaston.
